Jindi cheese recall due to listeria

The sad news of an Australian woman who has miscarried following listeria infection linked to soft cheese manufactured by the Jindi Cheese company is an unfortunate but important reminder of the importance of food safety in pregnancy and avoiding foods which could be infected with listeria. This includes soft cheeses, cold meats and chicken, raw seafood and pre-prepared salads.  A total of 18 cases of listeria infection have been reported around Australia in the latest outbreak and a Jindi has recalled batches of cheese which could pose a risk – a list of the products which have been recalled can be found here.
